I haven't regretted a minute of it so far, though, and each week seems to bring new adventures, new friends and new ideas.
As part of the publicity for the above Painting By Nature course, and a general introduction to other botanical activities, I was interviewed by the lifestyle magazine Rutland & Market Harborough Living for their feature 'Artist of the Month'. It was good fun, and we all had a giggle, with the promise from Ellie of Ellie Dean Photography, of some image manipulation trickery with the final pics.
"Painting By Nature"
Have you wanted to learn how to portray the beauty and marvels of the natural world, but don't quite know where or how to start? Do you feel you lack the confidence to pick up a pencil or paint brush? Let me introduce you, with gentle encouragement and structured lessons, to the colours and textures of the natural world using a variety of mediums, including graphite, watercolour and pen.
Aimed at the enthusiastic beginner, the course will run for 6 sessions.
