What a year that was!?!

Somebody very kindly pointed out to me recently that the website was slightly out-of-date and was wondering whether I was still offering classes, or even if I was still painting. Well, the answer to both is definitely yes!

It has been so difficult to try to predict where, when, how or even  if I could deliver in-person classes and workshops; planning and organising became a logistical (and at times also a technical) challenge, and I want to thank each and every one of my students who were with me at the beginning of 2020 for their patience, understanding and flexibility during the last 15 months.

As we move through 2021, I am so pleased to now be able to update you with positive news instead of cancellations

Botanical Art Workshops - Barnsdale Gardens

Aimed at beginners and those with limited experience, these themed, 2-day workshops are a great introduction to the world of botanical art.

Small class sizes allow for individual tuition and progression in a beautiful setting (the cream tea is also quite yummy).

Bees & Flowers -Barnsdale Gardens

I will be demonstrating painting plants and pollinators at the 'Bees & Flowers' Family Event on Sunday 25 July 2021.

Come along & say "hello", and pick up a paintbrush - discover the inner artist.

Rutland Open Studios 2021

2021 is going to be the first time that I have participated 'in-person' with Rutland Open Studios - last year's event had to be held on-line instead.

This year the event will run over 3 weekends in September, and I am thrilled to be participating, thanks to Nick Hamilton, at Barnsdale Gardens, on the following dates: 11 & 12, 19th  and 25 & 26 September 2021, 10.00am - 4.00pm.

Access to the studio will be free, via the 'back gate', but please do take the opportunity to visit the gardens too - entry fee applicable - you really won't be disappointed.

Original works will be available to purchase, in addition to prints, cards and other merchandise.

Botanical Drawing & Illustration - Nottingham Trent University

Despite the pandemic's best efforts, we were able to run the first BD&I short course in April 2021, and it proved highly successful.
Two more beginners' courses are now scheduled, and more details can be found by clicking on the image to the left.
