Let's Get Down To Drawing & Painting

2022 turned into a fabulous year from a botanical art point of view. Students were welcomed back to the regular monthly classes at Barnsdale Gardens. New and aspiring botanical artists joined me at various venues throughout the UK, and I was also able to spend a little time on my own artistic development as a student on several masterclasses.

2023 promises to be as exciting and as fun-filled, with a variety of classes and workshops for all abilities being offered at inspiring locations.

So, are you keen to build on your drawing & painting skills, pick up a paintbrush for the first time since you left school or develop your art portfolio? Would you like to spend some leisure time in  Rutland the smallest county with the BIGGEST archaeological finds and inspirational gardens, a trip to the Peak District, immersing yourself at a nature reserve in beautiful Devon or soaking up the bright city lights of Nottingham?

Rutland Open Studios 2023

2021 was the first time that I had participated 'in-person' with Rutland Open Studios, and the event completely exceeded my expectations. I was pleased to welcome visitors in 2022 to my work, and to have some great conversations.

The event runs over 3 weekends in September and I am thrilled to be participating again, in 2023 at Barnsdale Gardens, on the following dates: 9 & 10, 17  and 23 & 24 September 2023, 10.00am - 4.00pm.

Access to the studio will be free, via the 'back gate', but please do take the opportunity to visit the gardens too - entry fee applicable - you really won't be disappointed.

Original works will be available to purchase, in addition to prints, cards and other merchandise.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Nick, Charlotte and the team at Barnsdale Gardens for all their support with this event.
